Privacy notice
What we collect from customers
- The PDF documents you choose to upload.
- Your print preferences (copies, colour, sides, page range), the name you enter so the shop knows whose print it is, and any instructions you type.
- Technical data needed to run the service securely, such as a random session identifier and a one-way scrambled form of your network address (used only to stop a copied QR code being flooded). We do not ask for your phone number or email.
Who can see your documents
Only the shop whose QR code you scanned. NijiPrint administrators do not view customer documents; they only see aggregated statistics.
How long documents are kept
- Documents are deleted automatically at the time you choose (the retention period), whether or not they were printed.
- After a job is completed, documents are deleted shortly afterwards (a short window allows reprints if a page jams).
- Cancelled or failed jobs are deleted straight away.
- After deletion we keep only minimal job records (job number, status, times, page and copy counts) for operational reporting. Your name, instructions and file names are removed.
Your session
Each QR scan starts a new private session that ends when you tap Finish, after a period of inactivity, or after a maximum lifetime. Once a session ends it cannot be reopened, and this phone loses access to the job.
Storage and security
Files are stored encrypted at rest in private cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and transferred over HTTPS. Access requires the shop's authenticated session and is checked on every request. Provider-level backups or caches may briefly retain data according to the provider's own policies.
Please don't upload
Documents you are not entitled to share. If a document is highly sensitive, consider printing at a location you trust and choosing the shortest retention period.
